We wanted to create a cinematic representation of what it feels like when your testosterone levels are low juxtaposed with how great life feels when your T levels are high and optimal.
Each scene was shot to represent either a symptom of low testosterone or a sign of optimal testosterone.
Each scene had a purpose - nothing was extra.
The first few scenes were shot to be relatable. As men, we’ve all had days where we don’t feel like getting out of bed, scroll our phones for hours, or simply aren’t proud of the man we see in the mirror.
Believe it or not, all of these are symptoms of low testosterone: feeling depressed, low energy, and lack of drive or ambition.
the second half
In the second part of the film, the character rediscovers his edge in life.
He regains optimal testosterone levels and now has drive and motivation.
We see him training and running, effort now feels good.
When your T levels are good, you have an inner confidence and carry yourself differently throughout the day. It’s an incredible feeling.
the end: living at your edge in life
Most people think testosterone equates to aggression. Scientifically, that actually isn’t the case. (Eisenegger et al., 2009)
Having optimal levels of testosterone simply means you have the drive and determination to go after what you want in life.
That’s what we see in the very last scene. A smile of satisfaction at the end of the day.
No matter what your calling is in life as a man, you have the opportunity to end each day proud of the man you’re becoming.
